European Youth Internet Governance Forums (yIGF) is a project to involve young people in the Internet Governance Processes. Young people need empowerment to claim their rights and possibilities to take part in such debates and shape the internet of tomorrow. Therefore yIGFs rests on three pillars:
  • Local youth involvement in workshops and barcamps, to allow the participants to articulate their position, gather support and reach out to other stakeholders
  • European trainings to exchange perspectives, get in touch with other stakeholders and establish a common line and good practice
  • A youth delegate programme, to allow outspoken youngsters to transfer their positions from the local level to the European and global fora that host Internet Governance debate
